Glimpse

Date

2025

Project type

Public Art Installation

We spend our days peering through filters - digital, social, personal - watching reality scatter
through blinds of our own making.
Glimpse is a meditation on control and surrender, and on what we choose to reveal or
conceal. Alluding to the role of artifical intelligence in shaping new forms of reality, its
parametrically curved fins echo organic patterns yet are born from algorithmic precision.
Standing against the winter shore, its light frames fade and shimmer as the lifeguard station
dissolves into its surroundings - a fragile illusion of security. Like a mirage, perception
flickers between certainty and illusion, shaped as much by desire as by circumstance.
Visitors are invited to walk around, adjust the fins, or rest within. From each vantage point,
reality fractures and reforms - reminding us that agency lies not in control, but in awareness:
the choice to look closer and dwell between seeing and believing.
In collaboration with Selina Su and Chen Tong.
